Description

The Pozzato sand and gravel processing plant installed in Trentino-Alto Adige has been realised to handle 150 tph of aggregates with dimensions 0 – 600 mm.

The customer decided to use some machines and conveyor belts already fitted in one plant of his in order to reduce the initial investment.

The primary crushing unit treats the feeding material and a dry vibrating screen splits it in three fractions:

  • 0 – 30 mm, sent to the washing unit or stocked on pile;
  • 30 – 60 mm, sent to the secondary jaw crusher or stocked on pile;
  • 60 – 150 mm, sent to the secondary jaw crusher and then to the impact crusher.

The material crushed by the impactor is conveyed onto the same above mentioned dry vibrating screen in order to produce 0 – 30 mm aggregates in a close circle.

This fraction is treated into a log washer in order to remove the impurities and the floating fraction, such as wood, plastic, etc. and to melt the silt included into the raw material.

Lastly, the treated aggregates are washed and selected by the final rinsing screen, whereas the fines are washed and recovered by a sand washing unit equipped with an hydro-cyclone.
