Description
Our sand and gravel treatment plant installed close to St. Moritz has been realized to treat aggregates with dimensions 0 – 60 mm coming from several excavation sites.
The first vibrating rinsing screen, equipped with flow diverter fitted into the front chutes, is able to select the following three fractions:
- Slurry including particles < 4 mm, which is sent to the sand washing plant equipped with pump and hydro – cyclone in order to remove the silt and clay. The cyclone underflow is treated onto a specific dewatering screen to remove the water in excess from the sand.
- Gravel 4 – 32 mm which can be sent to the second vibrating dry screen or can be stocked on pile together with the fraction 0 – 4 mm in order to create a mixed product 0 – 32 mm
- Oversize 32 – 60 mm which is stocked on pile
When the second dry screen is fed with the fraction 4 – 32 mm, the Customer obtains the typical three products needed in the concrete batching plants:
- 4 – 8 mm
- 8 – 16 mm
- 16 – 32 mm
